James Arcoleo D.O.

James Arcoleo D.O.

Dr. James Arcoleo did his internal medicine residency at Albany Medical Center, and both cardiovascular and interventional cardiology training at Baystate Medical Center. He holds board certifications in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, endovascular intervention, and vascular medicine. He is the president of both Franklin County Cardiovascular Associates and Hampden County Cardiovascular Associates. In addition, he is the medical director of cardiology at both Franklin Medical Center and at Vibra Hospital of Western Mass, and is also the medical director of the Endovascular Services of Western Mass based out of Mercy Medical center. He has offices in multiple locations including Holyoke, Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, the Holyoke health center in Amherst, Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, and the Riverbend Medical Group in Chicopee.

His professional interests include carotid, coronary and peripheral interventions. He is the highest volume operator of carotid and peripheral interventions in Western Mass specializing in challenging chronic occlusive vascular disease and limb salvage cases. He is also well versed in venous disease performing laser vein ablations in an outpatient setting for symptomatic varicose veins and venous ulceration. He founded and runs very busy accredited vascular and echo labs operating out of many of his Western Mass locations. His interests include classical piano for which he he attended the Julliard school of music in Manhattan.

Dr. Ali Haider

Ali Haider M.D.

Dr. Ali Haider received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. After that he stayed on to do his Internal Medicine training at the Montefiore Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then went on to complete his Cardiology Fellowship at North Shore/LIJ-Hofstra University School of Medicine in Long Island, and subsequently did an additional year of fellowship in Interventional and Endovascular Cardiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital at Weil-Cornell Medical School in the Upper East side of New York City.

Dr. Haider is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and vascular ultrasound. He is well versed in all aspects of cardiology, and his areas of interest include coronary angioplasty and interventions, and the treatment of peripheral vascular disease. Over the years, he has published research in the areas of acute coronary syndromes, congestive heart failure, and valvular heart disease.

Dr. Nitin Bhatnagar did his medical training at the University of New England Medical School in Maine. He went on to do his Internal Medicine residency at University of Massachussetts at Amherst, after which he completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular DIseases at Baystate Medical Center of Tufts University. He has been a practicing cardiologist with the group for 7 years now. He performs Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Cardioversions, Pacemaker implants, and Cardiac Catheterizations. His other interests include marine biology, astronomy, classical music, and writing.


Chandra Shalabh

Chandra Shalabh attended medical School in India at the Seth G S Medical College at the University of Mumbai. He obtained his Master’s of Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and did his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Michigan State University at East Lansing, MI. He also served as the chief cardiology fellow at MSU. He then did a year of Cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and pursued a year of advanced cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at University of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital and Medical School. Dr. Chandra specializes in advanced ablation techniques of cardiac arrhythmias like afib ablation and VT ablation. His interest lies in heart rhythm disorders, cardiac device base therapies and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias like afib, SVT and VT.
Dr. Chandra has personal interest in mind-body wellness and has been an instructor of Art of Living Wellness programs for last several years. He runs wellness programs for community, patients and physicians and has several years of experience in teaching meditation and yoga based techniques. Dr. Avneet Singh

Dr. Avneet Singh is a new member of our practice, having joined in July 2013. Dr. Avneet Singh graduated medical school from Dayanand Medical College, India in 2003. He successfully completed his General Medicine training in England and received Membership to the Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom (MRCP). He went on to do his Internal Medicine residency training at University of Missouri and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He subsequently completed his Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System..

Dr. Singh is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine. He has expertise in all areas of cardiovascular medicine including coronary heart disease, structural heart diseases and peripheral vascular disease.

has been a part of the practice for a long time. He is primarily based out of our Riverbend Office in Chicopee. He trained at Harvard and Stamford. He specializes in advanced cardiomyopathy and heart failure therapies including device therapies and revascularization strategies.
